Frequently Asked Questions

What is telebuds?

telebuds is an alternative healthcare clinic. We offer phone consultations with our doctors and nurse practitioners who have expertise in tailoring natural treatment plans for a broad range of medical conditions.

We focus on making the process simple, affordable, and accessible — no waiting rooms, no hassle.

Who is telebuds for?

telebuds is for ordinary Australians located anywhere in Australia.

Eligibility depends on your health condition and symptoms. Natural treatment plans may be considered for a range of conditions, including chronic pain, sleep disturbances, stress, and other health concerns.

Our doctors and nurse practitioners assess each patient individually during a consultation to determine if a natural treatment plan is suitable for you.

Why choose telebuds?

We’re here when you need us. telebuds is certified, transparent, and fast. We offer real care — no runaround. We will respond within minutes to your call, text, email or carrier pigeon 🕊️

We offer the most affordable alternative healthcare. Consultations are free for Medicare card holders, including the initial consult and one complementary return consult every three months (additional return consults are $29). If you are eligible for a natural treatment plan, our doctors or nurse practitioners can accommodate your budget preferences for medication (i.e. concession products, premium products).

Our delivery times are the fastest in Australia. We use Dukasa Dispensary as our preferred pharmacy for dispensing medications that have been prescribed as part your natural treatment plan. Dukasa Dispensary provides the fastest delivery times in Australia through partnerships with express courier services.

How much does a consultation cost?

Our initial consults are free. We also offer one free return consult every 3 months. Additional return consults are $29.

Most telebuds patients have return consultations at months 1 and 4 to review their treatment plan. After that, patients typically check in with their doctor or nurse practitioner every 6 months.

How much does medication cost?

Medication costs will vary based on what has been prescribed as part of your treatment plan. Our doctors and nurse practitioners will take your budget and price point preference (e.g. value-range, mid-tier, premium) into consideration when tailoring your treatment plan.

Is Afterpay available?

Yes, Afterpay is available as a payment option within the telebuds patient portal.

How do I book a consultation?

Click “Start here” on our website to find out if telebuds is the right fit for you. You can then book an initial phone consultation with one of our friendly doctors or nurse practitioners.

We usually give you a quick call beforehand to say hello and make sure you’re comfortable with everything—but you’re always welcome to reach out to us first if you prefer.

When should I return for a follow-up consultation?

For patients new to alternative healthcare, a follow-up consultation is recommended after one month.

After that, the frequency of return consultations is up to you and your doctor or nurse practitioner, based on your needs.

Since most prescriptions expire after six months, long-term patients typically have at least two consultations each year.

Do I need my camera on, or is it only a phone consultation?

Initial consultations are 20-30 minute phone calls, and the entire process can be done from the comfort of your home.

No need to turn your camera on—you’ll just be chatting with your doctor or nurse practitioner over the phone.

What do I need to do before my consultation?

Before your consultation, we just need your completed patient intake form. You’ll receive a link to the intake form via email after booking.

To help ensure a smooth consultation, please take care when filling out your intake form.

Do I need a referral?

No, you don’t need a GP referral to book a consultation. You can book a phone consultation directly with our doctors and nurse practitioners. However, in some cases, a doctor or nurse practitioner may request a letter of support from your regular healthcare provider.

What's your cancellation policy?

Our full cancellation policy is outlined in our Terms & Conditions. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance.

If you miss your appointment without notice, you may need to pay again to rebook, as we reserve and pay for your practitioner’s time in advance.
